The last remaining Polo Club in London, Ham Polo Club is set in 22 acres of land on the meadow between Richmond and Kingston upon Thames.
Polo is traditionally played on Sundays; the Club is thus delighted to make its Club House available for private hire on most Saturdays throughout the summer.
A colonial style wooden building, the Club House is located between the two polo grounds; renovated and extended in May 1998, it now offers an unrivaled environment for all forms of entertaining. Resident caterers Hunt Kendall have already hosted events ranging in size from private buffets for 50 guests, wedding for 400 to polo hospitality for 1,000.
The Club House can be used on its own, - up to 140 Guests dining on the 70' vine clad verandahs, or supplemented with marquee structures to accommodate an almost unlimited number.
Wedding parties normally start with some form of drinks reception, which is usually hosted in the garden area, weather permitting.
Dining normally takes place on the verandah, and on the terrace, leaving the Club House clear for buffet/barbecue service if required, and for dancing later in the evening. The Club House has its own Bose PA System which can be used for background music. We have extensive contacts with mobile discotheques and bands who we recommend for dancing. Flowers can be either provided by clients or we can recommend excellent local florists.
